Protecting the personal information entrusted to us is a core part of how we run TenantHive. This Security Policy explains the measures we take to keep your data safe across tenanthive.co.za and the TenantHive platform. It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
All traffic between your browser and TenantHive is encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS. Data is also encrypted at rest, so the information you store with us is protected on disk.
TenantHive is hosted with reputable, certified cloud infrastructure providers that maintain strong physical and network security controls. We rely on their secure, well-established platforms so that your data benefits from enterprise-grade infrastructure security.
Access to data within TenantHive is governed by role-based access controls, ensuring users only see the information relevant to their role and group. Internally, we follow the principle of least privilege, limiting access to personal information to only those who genuinely need it.
Your data is backed up regularly and automatically, helping us recover and restore information in the event of an unexpected failure.
Card payments are handled by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment providers. TenantHive never stores your card numbers or CVV details.
Where banking details such as account numbers are captured (for example on leases, mandates, or profiles), they are stored securely, protected by encryption and restricted access. TenantHive does not use these details to process payments on your behalf.
Keeping your account secure is a shared effort. Please keep your login credentials confidential, use a strong and unique password, and notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
In the unlikely event of a security breach affecting personal information, we will notify the Information Regulator and the affected users as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), without undue delay.
If you discover a vulnerability or have a security concern, please report it to us at support@tenanthive.co.za so we can investigate and respond promptly.
We may update this Security Policy from time to time as our practices and the security landscape evolve. Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
